The Recode website has seen its share of ups and downs.
Recode has grown into a digital media powerhouse with a wide audience and readership.
The company has also been hit with allegations of anti-Semitism.
The story has gained a lot of attention in recent weeks.
In a post on Twitter, Barros wrote that he has “been working my ass off to make sure Recode is a place where people feel safe, safe, and comfortable,” and added: “It’s also been a rough ride.”
Barros added that he “takes responsibility” for the site’s “unfair and negative tone.”
The company, which has grown from a blog to an online news organization and has been owned by Barros for most of its history, has been hit by allegations of sexism, including claims that he was racist.
The allegations, made by several women, were made public by BuzzFeed News in the wake of the election of President Donald Trump, who has called for the firing of news organizations critical of his administration.
At the time of writing, Recode was the most read website on the site with an average of 9.3 million monthly unique visitors.

Barros is one of the company’s highest-paid employees.
He is also one of a number of employees who have been accused of sexual harassment or misconduct by several current and former employees.
The most recent allegations against Barros come after several women made allegations against a former colleague at Recode who has since been fired.
The women detailed their experiences in a memo to Recode, written by the company.
The letter alleges that a former coworker, Kara Swinton, made unwanted advances toward the women in her position, including touching them inappropriately, and that Swinton’s alleged behavior was not reported to her superiors.
In her memo, Swinton claimed that she was told she would not be promoted because she is not a “good fit” for a role she had taken on.
The memo also said Swinton had “not communicated about” her misconduct to other colleagues or her managers.
According to Recodes earnings report for the first quarter of 2019, the news organization posted revenue of $2 million.
In 2018, the business reported a loss of $1.4 million.
The year before, the financial company reported a net loss of less than $500,000.
Recodes was not the only media company to be hit with accusations of anti–Semitism during the 2016 presidential campaign.
BuzzFeed News reported that The Intercept, a news outlet founded by Glenn Greenwald, published a document in which a former employee described a white nationalist who was on staff.
The employee also alleged that the writer of the document had used an “Arabic accent.”
In an interview with Buzzfeed News, the former employee, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the document was an attempt to smear Greenwald.
“I’ve always been the underdog.
I’m an outsider,” the former writer said.
“The Intercept didn’t have a Jewish employee and it was an effort to try to discredit me.
It was not about anti-Semitic stuff.
It’s more about trying to make me look bad and scare me into silence.”
In February 2018, BuzzFeed News published an article titled: The Jewish Machine: Inside the Jewish-Owned News Agency BuzzFeed News has been one of BuzzFeed’s most successful brands.
The site has been a leader in bringing original content to the public and has also become a popular destination for journalists, bloggers and users of social media.
BuzzFeed’s success has led to an increase in revenue for the company, as well as a desire among some in the company to change the company culture to address bias.
The changes were met with mixed responses.
“It is a sad day when we can no longer tell the truth and to report the truth,” Buzzfeed editor-in-chief Ben Smith wrote in a post about the company changing its culture.
